Killer's Personal Page

I've had this site for a long time, and this is the first time I could bring myself to make a 'personal page'. The internet is a much-abused facility, and everyone thinks that the rest of the world is interested in them and their pets and boyfriends and whatever else. However, since my friend Sarah (see Links) has shown that it can be a good way to keep up with someone, especially now I've left uni, I thought I might join in.
(While I was at uni, all I would have to do to reach most of my acquaintance was shout. It was a very small town.)

Random Facts

I am 23.
I speak Albanian.
I am (fiercely) Scottish.
I am a Christian. That is the most important thing about who I am, and maybe shouldn't be listed under "random facts". Why am I a Christian? Because it's true. All of it. And that matters. None of your pluralism here!

Recent Stuff

Aha, the actual purpose of this page, to keep people up to date with what I'm up to.

Recently I've been working as a missionary in Memaliaj, Albania, although even more recently I have been working as a secretary in a mental hospital in Glasgow. My health's a lot better so I don't seem to be about to die any time soon. This is especially good as I'm getting married in a couple of weeks (on 16th February 2006) to Taulant Murdarasi, a lovely boy from Lushnja, Albania. We're going back to Albania in March where I will begin a job as an administrator in a Christian video studio. Tau is a stonemason, so he will be looking for work doing that in the captial, Tirana, where we will be living.

I still run my Albanian-language website (Shqipkisha) and sometimes talk to churches or house groups about Albania.

My older sister continues to be sickeningly successful, and she and her husband now have a sports car and have moved into a new house! The younger one is married to a Norn Arsh boy and is living in Glasgow, working for Rolls Royce (the airoplane section rather than the car section. My mum's still working as a teacher, but has gone down to part time, and my dad's retired and spends a lot of time at a museum for old buses, where he is lovingly restoring a tower wagon.

Sometimes Hotmail gets rid of all my messages because I forget to check it often enough, so if you haven't received a reply, you could always try again. Or you could go on to Shqipkisha, press the right arrow, scroll down, and then click on the email address that starts "shqipkisha.." Enough! Go and read the Diary. It's far more interesting.
