In the summer of 1999 two intrepid young things, called Fraggle and Killer, set out to walk the West Highland Way. The West Highland Way is, in case you don't know, a 95 mile route from Milngavie, just North of Glasgow (UK) to Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis. It took us 8 days and much effort.
Why did we do it? Because one of Fraggle's friends made a joke about us walking to Skye, and we thought it would be fun to prove her (almost) right.
Was is worth it? Absolutely! We had an utterly fantastic time, saw loads of beautiful scenery (for example at Inversnaid), and got supremely fit and tanned and blonde (early summer in Scotland is beautiful).
Some tips if you want to do the WHW yourself. (Do! Do!)
Incidentally, you are visitor number - or thereabouts.
